Appearance; Serge has the appearance of your average teenage boy, clocking in at about 5'7", and weighing about 128 lbs. His deep indigo colored hair is adorned with a red bandana, with a gold colored pattern sewn into it. Sky-blue eyes fit the face of a young man who has known little of life's complications. Innocence, while wrestling with certain emotions that come with that time in one's life. It's rare to catch him without a smile, especially in Leena's presence. Around his neck hangs a certain memento, likely something Leena crafted for him. On his torso is a tight, black undershirt with a loose vest over it, looking to appear to be some form of light armor meshed together. While the vest itself is rather loose, a belt hangs tightly around his waist, keeping it held down. Brown gloves adorn his hands, offering some protection from the usual rigors of fishing or hunting small game near the village.

Being that Arni isn't a cold climate, Serge usually prefers shorts, and is often seen wearing a pair of a lighter indigo, almost violet color with another pattern stitched into it. Scarlet, loose socks climb to the lower part of his calves, and solid, black shoes protect his feet, with a light metal plate attached to the front of each shoe.

Physical appearance wise, Serge isn't terribly muscular, having a bit of an ordinary, but somewhat athletic looking build. Still, he is capable of running, jumping, climbing, and having a healthy stamina.

Personality; Serge is what you'd call carefree. All that mattered to him before being thrown into his adventure was his life in Arni, eventually marrying Leena, and living out his days in Arni. While being unknowledgeable about the world, he sometimes comes off as being naïve. Matters such as war or politics are often lost on the boy, as he considers them problems of the mainland, he has a certain dislike of military types, having come to blows with them many times throughout his world and the other. His usual interests lie with having fun in one way or another, Leena, or going out to fish. He isn't an incredibly complicated, deep individual. While he sometimes thinks out his actions, the rashness of youth is still quite present in him, if a little less so than Kid. When it comes to his friends being in danger, his usual response is quick and decisive, fighting as hard as he can to protect them, no matter the circumstances.

Serge is usually a very outgoing fellow, finding it quite easy to make friends along the way from a variety of different backgrounds. Most of them swept up in his journey for some reason, but even so, he is able to find some common ground with them in one fashion or another, even people like Zoah or Marcy. He'll always make time for his friends if they want to talk, and cares deeply about them once he knows them well enough. When you have a friend in Serge, you pretty much have one for life.

He comes off as a very fearless boy, but someone who proves observant can notice a slight change in his demeanor when in the presence of cats, due to the fact he was assaulted by a panther demon as a young boy.

Abilities/Strengths; Serge is armed with a weapon known as a Swallow, a weapon with two intricately designed blades on either end of a short, pole like handle. He wields the weapon with great skill, and is able to use Elements, much like others from his world(s). He holds strong ties to the White element, and has resistance to skills of said element. Among his arsenal are personalized techniques he developed on his own or learned from others through his journey. Besides his own techs, he has the ability to combine them with others in order to perform Double or Triple techs, much like Kid.

His techniques include the Dash and Slash, which is a simple charge at the enemy with a quick and powerful swing of his Swallow, Luminaire, which builds up "chi" energy and releases it on the enemy, and finally, Flying Arrow. Serge focuses all of his energy into his Swallow, and hurls himself at the enemy. When equipped with the Mastermune, Masa and Mune appear behind Serge and lend the attack a little extra kick.

Weaknesses; While being quick-witted, Serge isn't the most mechanically intelligent in the world, often being confused by anything more advanced than regular ship, or military technology Porre used, or what he witnessed in the Dead Sea. Because of his innate element, he has a great aversion to darkness, feeling great unease around those with dark or evil intentions, often throwing him off guard. Even after his travels, Serge is easy to trust, often looking for the best in those around him, which can lead to him being betrayed easily enough, if not for Kid around to watch his back. To top it all off, Serge has something of a phobia to cats, having been attacked by a panther demon as a kid. He becomes quite nervous around them, or avoids them altogether. Besides his mental weakness, he is as much human as anyone else, and can be easily killed as other humans.

Notable Possessions; The clothes on his back, and his Swallow, specifically the Copper Swallow, along with that, Serge will have his Element Grid, which is equipped with the following Elements. Photon Ray (White), Meteorite (White), Cure (Blue), Aqua Beam (Blue), Fireball (Red), and a full stock of five consumable Tablets (Red).

History; Serge's history is complicated and sometimes convoluted. Born to Wazuki and Marge in the fishing village of Arni, Serge's history is quickly tied into fate at a young age, all by the machinations of others in order to lead him to a singular destiny. After being mauled by the Panther Demon, a magnetic storm led his father's ship astray as they headed to Marbule in hopes of saving his life. The storm instead lead them off their path, to the Sea of Eden, and to Chronopolis. There, Serge came into contact with the Frozen Flame, and was healed. At the same time, he was also deemed "Arbiter", the being with the highest security in Chronopolis, and the only one who could use the power of the Frozen Flame.

This led to one very unhappy supercomputer known as FATE, who used the Flame as a source of power. With her mind firmly set on regaining ownership of the Flame, FATE altered the mind of Wazuki and gave him the order to drown Serge in the year 1010 A.D. This is where Serge's fate splits in two. In one timeline, Serge is killed on that fateful day, which becomes the Another timeline. In his own, the Home timeline, Kid travels back through time and rescues the younger Serge, with the boy only getting a brief glimpse of his savior. Wazuki having failed, was returned to the Sea of Eden. His body and mind were reshaped into the being known as Lynx, who returned to the world and set into motion many trials for Serge.

Having to jump between dimensions, Serge saw a great many differences in his world, learning of what even minor actions or decisions can change the outcome of a person's fate. Many of his close calls came from narrowly escaping Lynx's plans, such as saving Kid from the brink of death from a deadly poison, and meeting Fargo about the S.S. Invincible. Eventually, Serge reached Fort Dragonia, and came face to face with Lynx once again. This had been planned out by Lynx, where he switched bodies with Serge in the hope of regaining the power of the Flame. Having been mistaken by his friends for the appearance of Lynx, Serge was defeated, Lynx stabbed Kid in Serge's body, and all seemed lost to Serge as he was banished to another dimension. With the help of Harle, Serge, now in Lynx's body, made his way back to his Home dimension, where he began exploring and searching for a way to return to the other dimension, regain his body, and beat Lynx to a pulp.

Along the way, Serge learned the fate of the Dragoons of his Home dimension, along with the fate of Leena's father, Miguel. All of them locked in the Dead Sea, which changed according to the ruined future created by Serge being alive. In order to return to the Other world, Serge had to find the power in the Dead Sea. Unfortunately, perhaps due to FATE's plan, Serge was forced to fight and kill Miguel. At the same time, the Dead Sea began collapsing in order to protect the flame, and attempt to kill Serge himself. However, he and his party are saved at the last moment by the Sky Dragon.

The Sky Dragon itself revealed a way for Serge to regain his own body, he had to defeat all of the dragons in El Nido. Upon facing the six dragons and receiving their blessing, Serge ascended Fort Dragonia once more and reclaimed his body. After that, he knew what he planned to do. He was off to Another's Sea of Eden, this one not a ruined future like the Home's Dead Sea. The future the ghost children of Crono, Marle, and Lucca supposedly blamed him for ruining.

Having finally met FATE face to face, Serge defeated the massive supercomputer, only to discover the Dragons were using him to take the Frozen Flame, which was revealed to be a shard broken off from Lavos itself when it fell onto Earth millons of years ago. Following after them to Terra Tower, Serge learned of the Time Devourer, and everything came full circle when he finally learned the truth about how the entire event was orchestrated for that singular moment in time for Serge to be armed with the Chrono Cross to face the Time Devourer, and save Schala. After aquiring the Chrono Cross, the "ghosts" of Crono, Marle, and Lucca explained everything about Project Kid, and his role in the entire event. Serge was given a choice to save the world, or let the Time Devourer live up to its name.

Of course, after coming this far, he wasn't about to do that. Using the time egg, Serge descended into the Darkness Beyond Time, where the Time Devourer had met with Schala and merged with her to change from Lavos to what it was now. Serge and his friends fought hard against the beast, and in the end, was successfully able to use the Chrono Cross to set things right. Schala was freed, and the entire timeline had unified. Schala mentioned Serge would recall nothing of their adventures. Even so, Serge awkaned upon Opassa Beach, and began telling Leena of FATE and Terra Tower. Of course, she didn't believe a word of it. Still, Serge knows somwhere in his heart, he still remembers Kid.
